Project Manager

DBI Projects is seeking to bring on a new Project Manager. Role Overview:

The Project Manager is the core team member of any DBI project. Day-to-day responsibilities include client interaction, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities to ensure successful and timely completion of the project. The Project Manager will report to DBI Principals, Project Executives, or Senior Project Managers.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 5–10 years of experience with project management, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related practices, with experience managing the delivery of projects. This experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Technically complex projects
  • Site supervision and construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams, in addition to coordinating with contractors
  • Schedule and budget management

Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present themselves confidently in meetings and manage the project team. Additionally, the position requires a high level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel). Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite are particularly valuable as well, as is knowledge of construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects.

Role Overview:

The role of Assistant Project Manager is tailored to the needs of each individual project and the phases of the project. The Assistant Project Manager supports the project lead and senior leadership with client interaction, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities. The role is expected to grow and evolve as the Assistant Project Manager is able to demonstrate an overall ability to contribute to the successful and timely completion of the project.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 3–5 years experience with project management, construction management, architecture, engineering, or related practices with an understanding and knowledge of project management. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be prepared to be an active team participant for both internal and external tasks. Senior Project Manager

Currently, DBI is seeking to expand its project leadership to take on a series of new, large-scale projects. We are looking to bring on a new senior manager to lead upcoming new projects or projects soon to be under construction. Role Overview:

Senior managers are the primary point of contact with the client and for all project consultants. They are responsible for overall budget and schedule management, in addition to strategic planning with the client to anticipate and address project specific needs. As DBI is typically one of the first consultants hired for a project, senior managers are responsible for assisting the client in developing an overall project framework and selecting the appropriate project team to ensure successful and timely completion of the project.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 10+ years of experience with project management, construction management, architecture, development, or related practices, with experience leading project delivery. Applicants should have direct experience in all phases of construction and should have served in the role of project lead on at least three projects greater than 50,000 SF.

Additionally, previous work experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Ground up construction
  • Technically complex projects
  • Institutional projects
  • Site supervision and construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams, contractors, and various stakeholders
  • Schedule and budget management
