Senior Project Manager

Role Overview:

Senior Project Managers are the primary point of contact with the client and for all project consultants. They are responsible for overall budget and schedule management, in addition to strategic planning with the client to anticipate and address project-specific needs. As DBI is typically one of the first consultants hired for a project, Senior Project Managers are responsible for assisting the client in developing an overall project framework and selecting the appropriate project team to ensure successful and timely completion of the project. DBI leaders are also expected to develop the skill sets of DBI team members working under them.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 10+ years of experience with project management, construction management, architecture, development, or related practices, with experience leading project delivery. Applicants should have direct experience in all phases of construction and should have served in the role of project lead on at least three projects greater than 50,000-sf.

Additionally, previous work experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Technically complex projects
  • Institutional projects
  • Site supervision and construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams, contractors, and various stakeholders
  • Schedule and budget management

Assistant Project Manager

Position Responsibilities:

The role of Assistant Project Manager is tailored to the needs of each individual project and the phase of the project. The Assistant Project Manager supports the project lead and senior leadership with client interaction, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities.

Applicant Skills & Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 4–7 years of experience in architecture or related practices with an understanding and knowledge of project management. Project experience in New York City is preferred. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be prepared to be an active team participant for both internal and external tasks. The position requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel), Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), and AutoCAD. Knowledge of Bluebeam and construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects are particularly valuable as well.

Estimator

DBI Projects is seeking to bring on an Estimator to join our New York City office to support public infrastructure projects. READ MORE

Responsibilities:

The Estimator will support the project team in the review of project plans and specifications. The Estimator will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of estimates, determining labor and equipment costs, preparing quantity takeoffs and material pricing, and advising the project team on the most proper means and methods.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have an educational background in engineering, construction management, or architecture with 3–7 years of experience in estimating and pre-construction on public infrastructure projects. This experience should include extensive knowledge of:

  • Construction costs
  • Construction means and methods
  • Project logistics
  • Project schedules

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 1–3 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related practices with an understanding and knowledge of project management. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be prepared to be an active team participant for both internal and external tasks. The position requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel). Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite are particularly valuable as well, as is knowledge of construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects.

Location:

The position will be based in Boston, fully remote for the immediate future, with the potential for occasional (socially distanced) meetings and site visits, and with the intent of returning in-person in 2021.
