Responsibilities:

The role of Project Coordinator is tailored to the needs of each individual project and the phases of the project. The Project Coordinator supports the project team with meeting minutes, document management, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities. The role is expected to grow and evolve as the Project Coordinator is able to demonstrate an ability to contribute to the successful and timely completion of the project.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 1 – 3 years of experience in an architecture, an engineering or a construction management practice with an understanding of project management. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills. The position requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel). Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite are particularly valuable as well, as is knowledge of construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is the core team member of any DBI project. Day-to-day responsibilities include client interaction, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities to ensure successful and timely completion of the project. The Project Manager will report to DBI Principals, Project Executives, or Senior Project Managers.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 5–7 years at architecture, engineering, or construction management practices with strong project management experience. This experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Ground-up construction
  • Technically complex projects
  • Site supervision and construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams and contractors
  • Schedule and budget management

Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present themselves confidently in meetings and manage the project team. Additionally, the position requires a high level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel). Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite are particularly valuable as well, as is knowledge of construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects.

Senior Project Manager

DBI Projects is looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience managing public projects. Role Overview:

Senior Project Managers are the primary point of contact with the client and for all project consultants. They are responsible for overall budget and schedule management, in addition to strategic planning with the client to anticipate and address project specific needs. As DBI is typically one of the first consultants hired for a project, Project Executives and Senior Project Managers are responsible for assisting the client in developing an overall project framework and selecting the appropriate project team to ensure successful and timely completion of the project.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 10-20 years of experience in an architecture, an engineering or a construction management practice or with a project management firm. Applicants should have direct experience in all phases of construction and should have served in the role of project executive or project lead on at least three projects greater than 50,000 SF. For DBI’s upcoming projects, we are specifically interested in applicants who have worked on the following types of projects:

  • Public Projects
  • Transportation or Transit-Oriented Development Projects
  • Large-scale Retail Projects

Additionally, previous work experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Ground up construction
  • Technically complex projects
  • Site supervision and construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams, contractors, various stakeholders
  • Schedule and budget management
