Since 2002, we have partnered with a diverse list of non-profit, private, and public clients to execute ambitious capital projects and real estate transactions. Our projects span from leading arts and culture organizations to schools to student housing and more. Responsibilities:

The role of Project Coordinator is tailored to the needs of each individual project and the phases of the project. The Project Coordinator supports the project team with meeting minutes, document management, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities. The role is expected to grow and evolve as the Project Coordinator is able to demonstrate an ability to contribute to the successful and timely completion of the project.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 1 – 3 years of experience in an architecture, an engineering or a construction management practice with an understanding of project management. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills. The position requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel). Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite are particularly valuable as well, as is knowledge of construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects.

Project Administrator

Responsibilities:

Reporting to Senior Management, the Project Administrator's primary responsibilities will include:

  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Providing general support to visitors and guests
  • Coordinating meetings
  • Coordinating travel
  • Data entry and filing
  • Maintaining contact lists
  • Assisting Project and Business Development Managers with report production
  • Assisting Project and Business Development Managers with analysis preparation

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have at least 1-3 years of administrative support experience and superb PC skills (MS Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Bluebeam).

The successful candidate will be extremely organized, efficient, and self-motivated, possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and have experience handling confidential and sensitive information. Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work are a must.

The nature of our business is fast-moving and dynamic, so the administrator will need to be flexible and able to effectively deal with changes in business needs as they arise. Knowledge of Construction, Architecture, Marketing, or other related fields is a plus, but not a requirement. College graduates with business administration or similar degrees are also preferred but not required.

Project Manager

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is the core team member of any DBI project. Day-to-day responsibilities include client interaction, project team coordination, contractor and schedule management, budget management, and other project-related activities to ensure successful and timely completion of the project. The Project Manager will report to DBI Principals, Project Executives, or Senior Project Managers.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 5–7 years at architecture, engineering, or construction management practices with strong project management experience. This experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Ground-up construction
  • Technically complex projects
  • Site supervision and construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams and contractors
  • Schedule and budget management

Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present themselves confidently in meetings and manage the project team.
