The ideal candidate would have approximately 8-12 years of experience at a professional services firm in a similar role. The right individual will combine accuracy with flexibility as the company grows along with a entrepreneurial spirit. A self-starter attitude is key. Responsibilities include:

1. Financial Management
a. General accounting of income and expenses
b. Payment processing
c. Management of accounts payable
d. High-level involvement in accounts receivable
e. Expense budgeting and forecasting
f. Cash flow management
g. Bank account management/reconciliation
h. Tax planning/filing
i. Monthly invoicing oversight

2.Financial Planning & Reporting
a. Strategic financial planning
b. Regular financial reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual)
c. Management of accountants for tax filings and financial statements
d. Bank reporting / compliance

3. Management of Vendor / Partner Relationships
a. PEO Provider (HR, payroll, insurance, other benefits)
b. Banking / lending relationship
c. Accountants
d. Insurance
e. Misc. vendor, suppliers and consultants
f. Landlord

4. Internal HR Function
a. Staff onboarding/offer letters and terminations
b. Disability/leave
c. Backstop for employees interface with PEO
d. Responsible for oversight of the onboarding/new hire process

5. Special Projects
a. Assistance with opening new offices
b. Review current processes and look for opportunities to streamline
c. Automated and simplified reporting
d. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement solutions

6. General Operations
a. Primary contact for employee interface
b. Admin staff oversight
c. Office management oversight
d. Oversight of part-time finance manager
e. Coordination of IT manager

Role Overview:

Senior Project Managers are the primary point of contact with the client and for all project consultants. They are responsible for overall budget and schedule management, in addition to strategic planning with the client to anticipate and address project-specific needs. As DBI is typically one of the first consultants hired for a project, Senior Project Managers are responsible for assisting the client in developing an overall project framework and selecting the appropriate project team to ensure successful and timely completion of the project. DBI leaders are also expected to develop the skill sets of DBI team members working under them.

Required Experience:

Prospective applicants should have 10+ years of experience with project management, real estate development, architecture, or related practices, with experience leading project delivery. Applicants should have direct experience in all project phases and should have served in the role of project lead on at least three projects greater than 50,000-sf.

Additionally, previous work experience should include direct involvement in:

  • Institutional projects
  • Change of use process
  • Construction administration
  • Coordinating between or with A/E teams, contractors, and various stakeholders
  • Schedule and budget management
