West Village Training Center
New York, NY

DBI Projects managed the construction of this peak performance training center in New York City. The innovative project was designed to cater for a unique, technologically integrated mind-body fitness program backed by advanced research in applied sports science.

Located in the landmarked Archive Building in the West Village, the center has been highly considered in both its design and construction to include high-quality finishes as well as furniture and equipment that were carefully curated and procured with the assistance of DBI Projects. When discussing the design intent, the team notes “We aim to achieve all of this as naturally as possible. Without gimmickry, with no more hardware than is necessary, and by using the most simple and sustainable materials”.

DBI Projects was engaged to provide owner's representative and project management services for the training center, collaborating closely with the Client, KCC Design Build, and Studio 43D. After being engaged for the project during demolition, DBI initially reworked the project timeline and schedule to better align with the client’s goals and progress to date, as well as assembling a vendors list for the diverse range of specialty services required. As the project progressed, DBI led contracts and team procurement, oversaw construction, public agency coordination, managed the FF&E, including complex equipment such as the OptiTrack, DEXA Scanner (GE Lunar Prodigy), and coordinated nuanced AV and IT requirements.

We are thrilled to be part of the team that brought this trailblazing training center to New York City!
